The Relationship Between Teaching and Research

Came upon this article by Nick Feamster at Princeton.

Both are equally important – I guess the question I always ask myself is whether  research is a process to improve one’s teaching, or that teaching will reinforce and expand our knowledge for research. But as Prof Feamster explained, they’re ‘orthogonal’, and you need to perform both effectively to succeed as an academic.
